We do not remember days...
We remember moments.
(Cesare Pavese)
********
"An hour in the garden puts life's problems into perspective."
Some say I am confined to wheelchairBut I don’t think they know
That though my body is affected I still am on the go.
I go to visit those I love
And walk to market place;
I tread the woods until it rains
And then the rainbow trace.
Of course my body cannot always go
For it’s been restricted for days,
But who would say paralysis confines
A soul and mind that dreams and prays?
Although my body sometimes lets me down
Through days of darkest night,
My spirit soars on wings of prayer
And moves with speed of light.
In dreams and prayer I visit those I love;
Great is the gift of prayer;
And when my thoughts are beamed toward you
You’ll sense my presence there.

You are still trying to trick some famous horticulturalist into naming that unknown flower for you, aren't you? Well it's for sure not going to be me. . . . I haven't a clue!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn,
ReplyDeleteYour blooms are gorgeous! How have they escaped this dreadful heat?--Randy
My hardworking husband put a well down and proceeded to plumb this entire 1.9 acres with a sprinkling system...including the pots on the deck! He loves doing "water-works"!
ReplyDeleteTom, I gotta ask! Someone may come up with the name.
ReplyDeleteI just read your profile!!! OMG you are an inspiration! You have got a beautiful garden, and a strong spirit...thanks so much for linking up...I do hope you will join us again!

ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing woman to go through all that and survive! Thank God your brother stopped by to see you that day!
It is wonderful too that you reconnected with a friend and ended up with a wonderful husband! He awesome! How great it is that you both share the love of gardening!
Happy FF to you!!!
The tour of the gardens yesterday was wonderful! It's even more amazing than these photos show. I hope that I can remember half of what Marilyn tried to teach me as we looked over the gardens!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind words of encouragment. I am, indeed, fortunate to have friends and family to help me continue to do the things I love!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos of you and the garden. The lilies and the variety you have here are absolutely gorgeous! I am enjoying looking through your blog. It was so nice to meet you and Mr. Ed today. I will certainly be back to visit, will call first.
