Fall Colors

Hickory trees across the street from our house.
Those leaves will wind up in our yard.

Aloe cactus (light green plant behind the bunch of daylily greenery.
Ed took all of it out yesterday.
Babies kept coming up from the roots-- all out into the grass.
I told him to get it out.
I had no idea it would multiply like it did.

Today's ride

I just had to get out and ride the neighborhood today (in my wheelchair).

I found the Garden Club's YOM down on 109 Ridgewood Dr. It's beautiful. They are having to water to keep it looking good.
I'm so fortunate that Ed put in a well and has plumbed the entire yard to auto water.
My mums aren't open yet-- but, soon.

These are some random pictures of flowers blooming along the way.

Beautiful day

Today was gorgeous! I spent a little time pulling that dang weed -- the "mimmosa" weed. Got out the Roundup and hit a few spots- a lot of violets coming up in the grass.
Be careful about where you plant violets. Pick off the dead blooms before they make seeds. They will spread into your grass and it'll be hard to get rid of them.

October

Well, this month has blown in! It has been the windy-est! Today was one of the windy-est days I can remember other than during huricane weather. It has brought some cold with it and I stayed inside all day after sticking my head out the door and testing the air.
