More Camellia

Spent a good day outside trimming back cold damaged plants.

Had to take another snapshot of the varigated camellia:
The flowering cherry is blooming.

I have another bit of info I would like to share with my viewers:

I recently had to purchase a new battery for my laptop computer. Searching around on the internet I found "Laptops for Less" who sells batteries for the laptops. I ordered the one for my computer. When it came and was installed, my computer sent a message across the screen that the battery was "incompatible".

I logged on and requested a RMA# from Laptops for Less so that I could return the battery.
(You only have 30 days to do this.) So far, after two requests, I have not had any response from them. I'm probably stuck with spending that $75.

Beware of this company!

  2. Hi Marilyn, I popped in from Darla's blog.
Love your flowers, and what a greenhouse you have.
Sorry to hear about your laptop probs, is there a company over there that can put them to shame?

  3. Hey there Marilyn! I've been absent for a while but I'm trying to come around again and get back into blogging. You know how it is, life throws us a curve ball every now and then.:-)--Randy

  4. Marilyn: What a determined story of your life in the profile. I came from Darla's blog to visit. You should send a link to the battery web site to show them they are being put to the test.

  5. I'm so glad to have discovered your blog! I've enjoyed looking at your greenhouse post. That's such a pretty Camellia, it makes me anxious to see mine bloom, probably not until March though.

  6. Dropped by to visit, what gorgeous camelia's you have. We will have to wait just a little longer before our beauties unfurl.

Keep on top of that company, document everything that you send them. Do you have a BBB? Or some sort of consumer ombudsman? Let the local news station know about it. The more the word gets out there the better.

    Good Luck!

  7. I desperately need to get out in the yard! I have been sooo busy working I haven't done anything in the yard! I am going to plant seeds next weekend. I will get some started and bring you some plants! Seems that you are always giving me the plants...so hopefully I can bring you something you don't have!

  8. Hi Marilyn~~ I detect no bitterness as you recount the nightmare you endured at the hands of a wayward 14 year old. And the miracle of a yellow iris is awe inspiring. ... My son has been looking at laptops, I will be sure to let him know that Laptops for Less is a bogus company. I hope you'll be able to get your money back. Your variegated camellia is a dazzler.

I look forward to getting to know you better through blogging. I live in Zone 8 also but in the Pacific Northwest.

  9. Thanks to all of you for dropping by my blog! I would love for someone to interpret the japanese comment for me (LOL)

My laptop battery problem is finally resolved (I think). I went back to their website and there was a link to an online chat. I tried it and chatted with the operator telling her about the problem with getting an RMA#. She research my Order No. and came back with an RMA# and said that my Visa would be credited. Halleluya! I had never thought about resolving that way.
