A Sneak Between Showers

I sneaked out with the camera between the showers today. Took several pictures and then I saw-- Oh no! A huge mimosa weed!! The next thing I knew I had been bent over on my knees for over an hour, pulling weeds! Ed came in from the Dr.'s looking for me, so I came in and started a pot of homemade soup for supper.

  2. Hi Marilyn, I enjoyed my walk outside with you. That thrasher was having a lot of fun for sure! I once lived in Alabama and I remember those mimosa weeds. Urgh! It's easy to get caught up in your garden. I also enjoyed the cereus bloom. I did not know the story behind it. It is most beautiful.

I read your profile and all I can say is it must have been terrifying what you went thru and what an evil person to shoot you. I gather from your profile you don't have any bad feelings for the shooter but I do and understand if don't want this posted, what he did was awful and for no reason at all and it is scary for all. Congrats on your marriage-that is a wonderful thing indeed.

  3. Tina, it was terrifying and I re-live it more times in dreams. I just thank the dear Lord for sending my brother. The shooter is evil, as proof that he stays in trouble on the inside and will never get paroled. I'll certainly be at any hearing!

  4. Hi Marilyn, I wasn't sure how you would take my comment but I must say you are most brave and I don't blame you for wanting to be at all hearings. The fragility of life is not to be taken lightly and obviously criminals have no care. I just couldn't even imagine and am so glad you have such an uplifting blog because the healing is in moving on and making the best I guess. Another part of life. My best regards to you in all you do.
