We do not remember days...
We remember moments.
(Cesare Pavese)

"An hour in the garden puts life's problems into perspective."
Some say I am confined to wheelchairBut I don’t think they know
That though my body is affected I still am on the go.
I go to visit those I love
And walk to market place;
I tread the woods until it rains
And then the rainbow trace.
Of course my body cannot always go
For it’s been restricted for days,
But who would say paralysis confines
A soul and mind that dreams and prays?
Although my body sometimes lets me down
Through days of darkest night,
My spirit soars on wings of prayer
And moves with speed of light.
In dreams and prayer I visit those I love;
Great is the gift of prayer;
And when my thoughts are beamed toward you
You’ll sense my presence there.

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers....hey, can you blog from the bed? :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always more fun to choose not to do something than it is to be told you can't do it. Take care of yourself. Sorry to hear about your stroke.
ReplyDeleteDirt Princess did an introduction to this blog with many gorgeous photos. She also included your story which is absolutely incredible, sad, and yet hopeful. You have made the best of the situation and are an inspiration to your readers, friends and family. Take care of yourself. Hope to see you back on here soon. I am a new follower.

Hello Marilyn! Glad to know another great gardener like you through Dirt Princess. Best regards :-D
ReplyDeleteHi there Marilyn. Dirt Princess did a good story today about you and your beautiful gardens. The gardens are coming along so well. I've never seen such a beautiful shade of hydrangea. The blue and purple are gorgeous. Lilies are looking good too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well right now. I'm praying you'll be up and at it again real soon. Love ya, Becca

ReplyDeleteHello Friend! I can't believe I found you. I should have know to start in the gardening section!
ReplyDeleteYou've never been out of mind or far from my heart. I think about you quite often. I have been scanning photos from the 90's and thought I'd try to look you up once more. And that did the trick!
Look us up on FB: Kat Hayes (Weedman), Cris Hayes - Suwanee, GA.
